This past weekend, our team at Symphony Senior Home Care proudly joined thousands of others at the Alzheimer’s Walk MN 2025, held at the iconic Minnesota Twins Stadium. It was a day filled with hope, unity, and shared purpose—walking not just for those diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, but for the families and caregivers who support them every day.

At Symphony, we know firsthand the emotional and physical toll Alzheimer’s can have on families. Many of the seniors we serve are living with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia, and we walk to honor them—and the countless others facing similar challenges across Minnesota.

Why We Walk
Alzheimer’s is more than memory loss. It’s a progressive disease that impacts over 7 million Americans, and that number is expected to nearly double by 2050. It not only robs individuals of their memories and independence—it places an immense emotional and financial burden on families.
- 1 in 3 seniors dies with Alzheimer’s or another dementia.
- More than 12 million Americans provide unpaid care for loved ones with dementia.
- In 2025, Alzheimer’s is expected to cost the U.S. $384 billion, rising to nearly $1 trillion by 2050.
These numbers are staggering—but days like this walk remind us that we are not alone in this fight.
Community, Connection, and Commitment
Seeing thousands of Minnesotans step up—literally—to walk in honor of loved ones, friends, and clients was powerful. Teams wore matching shirts. Some carried signs with names. Many walked in memory of those they’ve lost. But all of us shared one thing: the desire to bring an end to Alzheimer’s.
Our Symphony team felt so inspired to stand shoulder to shoulder with this community—caregivers, healthcare workers, advocates, and families—all united for a cause bigger than ourselves.
